At Safffron , our philosophy is simple. Our aim is to convey our passion for Indian cuisine in a way which gives you a perspective on our quest for perfect ingredients, technique, and a deep-seated desire to continue learning and evolving through old traditions and modern tastes. There is a real thirst for home-style Indian cuisine outside of India; we know this because we have seen it and felt it. Our ethos demands that we not only satisfy this need, but that we work to ensure that this is done without compromising on the foundation of this cuisine.

2012 Cintilia white (Portugal)
A delicious wine made from the Fernao Pires grape. The crisp, clean palate is enhanced by spicy flavours and a clean, zesty finish.
2014 Sauvignon blanc Sula (India)
Aromas of cut grass, green peppers and asparagus on the nose. Gooseberry fruit, grassy, asparagus notes and a racy acidity balance well to create a refreshing palate. This wine is dry and crisp with a moderately long finish.
2012 Dindori viognier Sula (India)
Typical tropical fruit of apricots and peaches on the nose. Full bodied, rich and opulent tropical fruits can also be found on the palate with a distinctive mid palate fruit sweetness and long minerally finish.

Food and service are excellent. Highly recommend lamb karahi - perfect accompaniment to a large, cold Kingfisher !

Read all the positive reviews before we went but was still taken aback at the high standard of our meal. The restaurant isn't large but has a very friendly cosy atmosphere. Service was very efficient without being intrusive. It's fantastic to have such a great place to eat within the village and we shall definitely be back.

Wonderful food. Went for my friends 40. We were given a selection of starters and main courses. Butter chicken was amazing. Service was great. It's my new favourite.
